Thank you. Can you suggest other types of snare knots for practical use?
Thanks so much buddy
This is so much easier to remember and understand than all the others I've ever seen thanks
this i my mums yt acount lol anyway than you or saving my life
I've NEVER seen a bowline tied that way.
@@guentherwilke2055 there are multiple ways but this way seems easier to me.
OMG thanks. No more with the rabbit going in the hole around the tree - whatever nonsense that didn’t teach me this 🎉
Excelente demostração, só não aprende se não quiser. Nata 10 para o professor!
Never seen it done that way. Pretty cool
Works really well when attaching to something
That's totally cool! Never seen it tied that way.
Thank you for the comment. I certainly like tying it this way, once you get it down it’s so much easier. ( my opinion )
This is the easiest method to tie a bowline knot I have seen
It’s always been the easiest way for me as well, thank you for your comment.
Thanks man I keep forgetting how to tie it. Think what I need to do is just stay on the boat
😂
I love how you explain as you go thanks love the videos
You are so welcome
Why is this knot so important ? I see its easy to tie but complicated to untie
@@diegomora1294 what makes this knot important and popular is that it’s easy to tie, very recognizable ( to see that it’s tied correctly) and that is easy to untie. This knot is easy to untie compared to most knots after they have been weighted. If you find it to hard to untie, I do have a video on my channel of a slipped bowline that makes it easier to untie.
Very good sir
Very good 👍 thanks
Лучшее исполнение.
Simple yet amazing!! Thank you
What is that knot on the end of your prusik?
It is a fisherman’s knot/two dbl over hand bends
@@knotknut I found the video you show that on. It will come in handy on a 5:1. Thanks for the reply. 👍🏼

Moment of clarity for knot enthusiasts: The bowline knot is just a sheet bend made with the working end of a single rope... 😮🎉
How do I untie it?
I have a couple of videos on my channel showing hot to untie this knot
Hot to tie😂 how to tie
Thank you sir
I was going to compliment you on how well you executed the presentation of the bowline. It's the one knot that has flummoxed me time and time again, nearly as challenging as tying my shoes. I also took note of the simplicity with which you made this knot's execution; the process will stick with me now. I've NEVER oriented the knot correctly on my first try - NEVER! I then read some of the comments and realized I didn't just have a profound personal breakthrough, you really did a fantastic job with your presentation, and everyone agrees. I was kind of annoyed it wasn't all about me, I didn't break through some personal challenge, it really was how well you presented it. Subscribed.
Thank you for your comments and kind words, it is always nice to hear. I may have shown how to tie the knot but it is all you when it comes to execution.
First time seeing it tied this way. I also thought this was referred to as the “running” bowline.
I have a video of a running bowline on my channel. It is the same knot but capturing the standing line in the loop of the bowline.
It's a decorative knot for anyone asking. I learned it as a diamond knot. The "pretzel" stage of the knot is called a Carrick's Bend.
This is important.like me.I learned easy.
is this a knot that will hold 150 pounds to climb out a window?
If you are wearing a harness and using static kernmantle rope in 11mm or 12.5mm then yes. Make sure to back it up with a Yosemite backup up or half hitches. This is the knot I use when suspending someone at height. But only with NFPA rated ropes.
At last bowline and kalmic loop are cousin each other.
Thank you so much you have made me a wonderful person today of what you are teaching
That is by far the easiest way I've seen to tie a bowline
Txc
What can this knot be used for?
Nice! 👍
Thanks! 👍

There is a third way to tie a Portuguese bowline, I haven’t posted it yet but I will be very soon. Thanks for the comment
Hello sir knotnut, I am trying to learn a knot that I can tie my animals with and they won’t shoke. Any good one? Your explanation is very easy.
Are tying the rope to the animal? Neck or collar? Or are you looking for a knot to tie them to a structure like a tree or post? What kind of animals? I would like to help just need a touch more information. 😊
@@knotknut i have seven goats, 3 female, 1 male, 3 babies. but they run away too often , and eat the neighbors plants and the neighbors is a guy who threatened to kill the goats… he then said he wasn’t serious… but who jokes about that? so we tie them to trees now with a rope each. Until we can find a better fence line they can’t jump… we are trying to find an electric fence for them, but quite expensive, until then we tie them with ropes. Last week i was shown a knot that allows them to go around 360 around the 🌳 tree, but I got confused this morning and didn’t know if i did it correctly, so i googled and found this youtube channel… but i don’t know the name of the knot. Also, the babies pull the ropes a lot, so I am afraid they will choke. I also have a female donkey, she is very tame and soft, but since my goats are threatened I tie her too. Another neighbor’s cows have invaded multiple times our house but we never fight the cows, we just talk with the neighbors and they have payed for some cacao trees the cows ate once and that’s it. It happen the same with the 👿 neighbor and he called the police on them. X.x So now, we tie them in the morning and check on them through the day so they dont get tangled on the feet, then we bring them back in the afternoon. That has been our schedule with them since they threatened to kill them.
@@Lppt87 you could tie or make a halter for each animal out of rope, unfortunately I don’t have a video showing how to do that. I can post on but that wouldn’t help you for now ( I am away from home until Friday and can’t make the video until then ). I do have a video of a weavers knot that may be useful for tying to the goats and the donkey. Just make it tight enough not to slip over their heads but loose enough not to choke them. The knot is simple to remember and it holds pretty well. Also you could use that same knot on the tree or use a bowline with a backup like the Yosemite. I have that on my channel as well, tying it a little loose around the tree may allow it to spin 360 around it. I hope this helps, it may not be the best choice of knots but it might help for now. Sorry about your neighbor.
Nice, THX
Классический *Булинь* (английский) Вязка с помощью Сваечного узла на коренном конце, в бант которого продевают ходовой конец, которым предварительно обнесли опору.
Best one, imo.
Thank you.
I use this " knot " in 1973 doing parcels 😅😅😅
Nice
So you basically form a slipknot, and feed the end through it's loop. Why tf would people teach the "bunny and the hole" method, if there is much easier and consistent one???
There are many ways to tie this knot, I think the rabbit thru the hole is just an easy way to remember.
@@knotknut It's not at all easy, depending on how you formed the initial loop, you can completely mess up the classical bowline, which I ended up doing since I don't need to tie it that often, it took me years to understand the principle. With this method, it's no matter how you form a slipknot, or which way you're feeding the working end, you'll still get the proper bowline structurally, but the working end may end up outside the resulting loop, and not always inside like with the classic method. And I don't see an obvious way to mess up this method.
Amazing!!
Thanks!!
When is a good time to utilize this style of knot?
It can be used to secure an axe head with a series of half hitches up the handle. It also has been used to lift a person, both legs through the loops and a hitch around the chest and underneath the arms.
Great demonstration 👍
Thank you
